Slovenia – the land of health and well-being

Slovenia, due to its geographical position and favourable conditions, developed many health and wellness resorts and spa tourism has been flourishing for years. Resorts are renowned for natural healing elements, such as thermal water, mineral water or seawater in combination with modern medicine to ensure guests forget about work, career, stress, pains, illnesses and everyday problems. Although most wellness resorts are found in the Eastern part of the country, one can escape the city life basically anywhere – in the Pannonian Plain, in the Karst region, at the seaside and even in the Alps.

One of the most famous Slovenia’s spas is found at Radenci, where visiting guests can enjoy favourable climate and the famous thermal spring, known to treat many physical conditions. Another unique resort is Terme Lendava, where healing water is of fossil origin and is soothing to the skin. Terme Čatež is Slovenia’s largest natural health spa, located next to the rivers Krka and Sava and is the largest tourism resort in the country with thermal water temperature ranging from 42 to 63 degrees Celsius at source. And, of course, we can not forget the world-famous Rogaška Health Spa with its mineral water that is extremely rich in magnesium and people from all over the globe have benefited from its powers, since it helps treat gastroenterological disorders and metabolic diseases.

Slovenian spas are indeed a paradise for body and soul, recommended for all who want to maintain health or simply experience the country’s beautiful natural resources.
